The Six Million Rupee Man is a game I made at the University of Portsmouth Game Jam 2017.
The themes this year were:
It’s a twin-stick shooter inspired by RUINER. The premise of the game is that you play as David L. Levy who has been cybernetically enhanced by the town of Pallissery (Pallissery is known for its technical college) to go and stop D-Side who have kidnapped the local children and forced them to make merch.
This game won “People’s Choice - Best Overall Game” and “People’s Choice - Best Looking Game”. I’m very proud of it. The overall time spent programming this game (like all University of Portsmouth Game Jam entries) was 35 hours.
